﴾18﴿ Rejoicing in the blessings that their Lord has granted them, and their Lord has protected them from the punishment of Hell
﴾19﴿ Eat and drink in joy for what you used to do
[11,12] In this, those deserving of punishment are mentioned, and two causes of punishment are highlighted.
What is meant is engaging in vain discussions and mocking or criticizing the religion — similar to the gatherings of materialists and major sinners.
(يَلْعَبُونَ) — meaning, they do not engage in these discussions to discover the truth or for genuine investigation, but rather waste time in a playful and unserious manner.
[13,14] In this, other awe-inspiring aspects of that Day are mentioned.
[15,16] Before this, "تقول الملائكة" is implied but not mentioned explicitly — the angels of Hell are the ones speaking to them.
[17,18] From here, the detailed glad tidings for the righteous begin.
In these two verses, there is good news about four things.
(وَوَقَاهُمْ) — this is an independent blessing, meaning they entered Paradise from the very beginning and were completely protected from the Fire.
[19,20] In this verse, glad tidings of tangible, outward blessings are mentioned.
(هَنِيئًا) — this applies to both food and drink.
What is meant is that there will be no deficiency or illness in their food and drink.
