وَمَا لِيَ 1077 يٰسٓ

إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ الْيَوْمَ فِي شُغُلٍ فَاكِهُونَ ﴿۵۵﴾ هُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُهُمْ فِي ظِلَالٍ عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ مُتَّكِئُونَ ﴿۵۶﴾ لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَلَهُمْ مَا يَدَّعُونَ ﴿۵۷﴾ سَلَامٌ قَوْلًا مِنْ رَبٍّ رَحِيمٍ ﴿۵۸﴾ وَامْتَازُوا الْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ ﴿۵۹﴾ أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ أَنْ لَا تَعْبُدُوا الشَّيْطَانَ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ ﴿۶۰﴾ وَأَنِ اعْبُدُونِي هَذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ ﴿۶۱﴾ وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنْكُمْ جِبِلًّا كَثِيرًا أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْقِلُونَ ﴿۶۲﴾

﴾55﴿ Inna Ashaabal jannatil Yawma fee shughulin faakihoon
﴾56﴿ Hum wa azwaajuhum fee zilaalin 'alal araaa'iki muttaki'oon
﴾57﴿ Lahum feehaa faakiha tunw-wa lahum maa yadda'oon
﴾58﴿ Salaamun qawlam mir Rabbir Raheem
﴾59﴿ Wamtaazul Yawma ayyuhal mujrimoon
﴾60﴿ Alam a'had ilaikum yaa Baneee Aadama al-laa ta'budush Shaitaana innahoo lakum 'aduwwum mubeen
﴾61﴿ Wa ani'budoonee; haazaa Siraatum Mustaqeem
﴾62﴿ Wa laqad adalla minkum jibillan kaseeraa; afalam takoonoo ta'qiloon

﴾55﴿ Indeed, the people of Paradise today are engaged in an occupation, rejoicing
﴾56﴿ They and their spouses will be in the shade, reclining on thrones
﴾57﴿ For them therein are fruits, and for them is whatever they desire
﴾58﴿ Peace will be said to them from the Merciful Lord
﴾59﴿ (It will be said,) And separate yourselves this Day, O criminals
﴾60﴿ Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you should not worship Satan, Indeed, he is a clear enemy to you
﴾61﴿ And that you should worship Me alone? This is the straight path
﴾62﴿ And indeed, Satan led astray a great multitude of you. Did you not then use reason

[from 55 to 58] In these verses, glad tidings (بشارت) are given to the believers:
In the first verse, the pleasure of blessings is mentioned.
In the second, the peace and comfort of their life is described.
In the third, their food and provisions are mentioned.
In the fourth, the greetings of peace (salām) they receive are highlighted.
"فِي شُغُلٍ"—this word is general and includes all types of delights and blessings that occupy them so completely that they are detached from worldly pleasures and even unaware of the people of Hell, even if they are their close relatives.
"فَاكِهُونَ"—this is the explanation of "شُغُل": meaning, their engagement is not due to sorrow or burden, but due to enjoyment and joy.
[59] From this verse up to verse 65, it is all part of the Hereafter warning (تخویف اُخروی).
Here, a deleted phrase is implied—it will be said to the disbelievers: "Separate yourselves, O criminals!" (ائ مجرمون).
"الْيَوْمَ"—this word is emphasized to show that in the world, believers and disbelievers were mixed together.
But in the Hereafter, they will be separated.
Alternatively, the command "ائ مجرمون" may mean: “O criminals, separate from one another”—meaning they will be divided into groups, not united as they once were.
[60] "يَا بَنِي آدَمَ"—this is mentioned to show that the prohibition of shirk and the command to uphold tawḥīd began from the time of Ādam (peace be upon him), and thus all descendants of Ādam are held responsible for this obligation.
"أَنْ لَا تَعْبُدُوا"—worship here means obedience.
So, obeying Shayṭān in a way similar to obeying Allah is considered worship of Shayṭān.
Alternatively, any worship directed to other than Allah is considered worship of Shayṭān, because it is done under his whisperings and influence.
[61] This is a command to uphold tawḥīd (monotheism), and it serves as clear evidence that the Straight Path (صراط مستقیم) is tawḥīd itself.
[62] This verse explains the reason for Shayṭān's enmity and serves as a warning to the polytheists, urging them: Why did you not take a lesson from the condition of the misguided nations before you?
"جِبِلًّا" refers to people and large groups.
In Tafsīr Sirāj al-Munīr, it is mentioned that this word hints at the fact that these people were as mighty as mountains, yet Shayṭān still managed to deceive them.
This highlights that no matter how powerful a nation is, if they lack guidance, they can fall into misguidance just as easily.
