اتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَْ 983 الروم

اللَّهُ يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ﴿۱۱﴾ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يُبْلِسُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ ﴿۱۲﴾ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ مِنْ شُرَكَائِهِمْ شُفَعَاءُ وَكَانُوا بِشُرَكَائِهِمْ كَافِرِينَ ﴿۱۳﴾ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَفَرَّقُونَ ﴿۱۴﴾ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَهُمْ فِي رَوْضَةٍ يُحْبَرُونَ ﴿۱۵﴾ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَلِقَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ فَأُولَئِكَ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ ﴿۱۶﴾ فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ ﴿۱۷﴾

﴾11﴿ Allaahu yabda'ul khalqa summa yu'eeduhoo summa ilaihi turja'oon
﴾12﴿ Wa yawma taqoomus Saa'atu yublisul mujrimoon
﴾13﴿ Wa lam yakul lahum min shurakaaa'ihim shufa'aaa'u wa kaanoo bishurakaaa'ihim kaafireen
﴾14﴿ Wa Yawma taqoomus Saa'atu Yawma'iziny yatafarraqoon
﴾15﴿ Fa ammal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati fahum fee rawdatiny yuhbaroon
﴾16﴿ Wa ammal lazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi-Aayaatinaa wa liqaaa'il Aakhirati faulaaa'ika fil'azaabi muhdaroon
﴾17﴿ Fa Subhaanal laahi heena tumsoona wa heena tusbihoon

﴾11﴿ Allah Almighty creates from the beginning and recreates again; you are returned to Him
﴾12﴿ And the day when the Resurrection stands, the criminals will despair
﴾13﴿ And there will be no intercessors for them among their associates, and they will deny their associates
﴾14﴿ And the day when the Resurrection stands, on that day they will be separated
﴾15﴿ So those who have believed and performed deeds in the way of the Prophet will be in gardens, made joyful
﴾16﴿ And those who disbelieved and denied Our signs and the meeting of the Hereafter, they will be brought forth into Our punishment
﴾17﴿ So glorify Allah Almighty when you are at evening and when you are at morning

[11] This is a brief rational argument, and it is related to (7), and it serves as proof of resurrection.
[12] This is a warning about the Hereafter because resurrection is mentioned. Now, in these verses, the details of the Day of Judgment are described, and up to verse (16), five states of the criminals are mentioned.
[13] This also falls under intimidation and is a refutation of coercive polytheistic intercession, and it is an answer to the question: if it is said that they (the polytheists) will remain silent, but their deities will speak to save them and intercede for them—this has been refuted.
[14] This also falls under intimidation, meaning that after losing hope in one another, they will become divided.
[15] This is an explanation of separation and division, and in this verse there is good news for the believers. Yuhbarūn has three meanings: (1) they will be honored, (2) they will be given blessings, (3) they will be given joy. All of these are included in the blessings of Paradise.
[16] This intimidation is for the deniers, and it mentions their three crimes.
[17،18]This is a consequence linked to the central claim of the surah, which is the oneness of Allah. It means that since Allah Most High grants you victory, then glorify Him—as mentioned also in Surah An-Nasr. Or, this could be an explanation of the reason for the claim of the surah: that with the oneness of Allah comes divine help and support.
In this surah, the intended meaning of glorification (tasbīḥ) and praise (ḥamd) includes both words and actions, as seen in the manner of performing prayer, where tasbīḥ and ḥamd are both verbal and physical.
According to the narration of Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with them both), this verse mentions the five prayer times: in (tumsūn), the evening (Maghrib) and night (ʿIshāʾ) prayers are included; in (tuṣbiḥūn), the morning (Fajr) prayer is included; in (ʿashiyyan), the late afternoon (ʿAsr) prayer is included; and in (tuẓhirūn), the midday (Ẓuhr) prayer is included.
Note: Since during nightfall and early morning there is darkness, and darkness signifies deficiency, tasbīḥ is more appropriate then—declaring that Allah Most High is free from all deficiency. During midday and afternoon, there is brightness, which signifies perfection, and thus ḥamd (praise) is more appropriate in those times.
