أَمَّنْ خَلَقََْ 946 القصص

فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ مُوسَى بِآيَاتِنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالُوا مَا هَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُفْتَرًى وَمَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿۳۶﴾ وَقَالَ مُوسَى رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ جَاءَ بِالْهُدَى مِنْ عِنْدِهِ وَمَنْ تَكُونُ لَهُ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ ﴿۳۷﴾ وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ مَا عَلِمْتُ لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَهٍ غَيْرِي فَأَوْقِدْ لِي يَا هَامَانُ عَلَى الطِّينِ فَاجْعَلْ لِي صَرْحًا لَعَلِّي أَطَّلِعُ إِلَى إِلَهِ مُوسَى وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّهُ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ ﴿۳۸﴾ وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ ﴿۳۹﴾ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظَّالِمِينَ ﴿۴۰﴾

﴾36﴿ Falammaa jaaa'ahum Moosaa bi Aayaatinaa baiyinaatin qaaloo maa haazaaa illaa sihrum muftaranw wa maa sami'naa bihaazaa feee aabaaa'inal awwaleen
﴾37﴿ Wa qaala Moosaa Rabbeee a'alamu biman jaaa'a bilhudaa min 'indihee wa man takoonu lahoo 'aaqibatud daari innahoo laa yuflihuz zaalimoon
﴾38﴿ Wa qaala Fir'awnu yaaa aiyuhal mala-u maa 'alimtu lakum min ilaahin ghairee fa awqid lee yaa Haamaanu 'alatteeni faj'al lee sarhal la'alleee attali'u ilaaa ilaahi Moosaa wa innee la azunnuhoo minal kaazibeen
﴾39﴿ Wastakbara huwa wa junooduhoo fil ardi bighairil haqqi wa zannooo annahum ilainaa laa yurja'oon
﴾40﴿ Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo fanabaznaahum fil yammi fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatuz zaalimeen

﴾36﴿ Then when Moses, peace be upon him, came to them with Our clear signs, they said, This is nothing but contrived magic, and we have never heard of this in our forefathers
﴾37﴿ Moses, peace be upon him, said, My Lord knows best who has come with guidance from Him and who will have the ultimate abode (the Hereafter). Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed
﴾38﴿ And Pharaoh said, O chiefs, I do not know of any god for you other than me. So, O Haman, kindle for me a fire on the clay, and build for me a tower that I may climb to the god of Moses; and indeed, I think he is one of the liars
﴾39﴿ And he and his armies became arrogant in the land without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us
﴾40﴿ So We seized him and his armies and threw them into the sea. Look then at the end of the wrongdoers

[36] From this verse up to (44) is the fifth stage, in which Musa (peace be upon him) is tested through his mission to call Pharaoh, the plots they devised, their deception over the people, and the mention of punishment and curse descending upon them in both this world and the Hereafter.
These are among the blessings upon Musa (peace be upon him) and his followers, along with the blessing of the revelation of the Torah.
In verse (36), the call of Musa (peace be upon him) is mentioned briefly, and the rejection by Pharaoh’s people is described in two ways:
First, the denial of the miracles by saying “this is magic.”
Second, the denial of monotheism by claiming it contradicts the way of their forefathers.
[37] Since in the course of their denial, they accused Musa (peace be upon him) of misguidance, he responded by entrusting the matter to the knowledge of Allah the Exalted.
In the phrase (Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed), there is a general indication that the people of Pharaoh will be destroyed by punishment, and thus it becomes clear that they are truly the misguided ones.
[38] This claim of Pharaoh is his attempt to monopolize divinity for himself. His intent is that no other god may be acknowledged without his permission — and that he himself is god. This is supported by Surah Al-A'raf (7:127), and by his denial of any other deity and rejection of the God of Musa (peace be upon him) ascending above.
All of this was Pharaoh’s deception upon his people because they were ignorant and followed him blindly, as stated in Surah Az-Zukhruf (43:54): (So he made his people look foolish, and they obeyed him).
(So kindle for me, O Haman, a fire upon clay) — the meaning of this is to make baked bricks, and this was the construction method Pharaoh ordered.
As for the construction of the tower (palace), its completion, destruction, etc., these are not definitively established.
(And indeed, I think he is a liar) — in this, Pharaoh implies that there is no real need to build the tower, because he believes Musa (peace be upon him) is lying.
