﴾30﴿ Then, when he arrived, a voice was called out from the right side of the blessed valley near the tree, saying, "O Moses, peace be upon him, indeed, I am Allah, the Lord of the worlds
﴾31﴿ And throw down your staff. Then when he saw it moving quickly as if it were a snake, he turned away and fled without looking back. (We said), O Moses, peace be upon him, approach and fear not. Indeed, you are among the secure
﴾32﴿ Insert your hand into your collar; it will come out white, without any blemish. And draw your hand close to your side to ward off fear. These are two convincing signs from your Lord to Pharaoh and his chiefs. Indeed, they are a rebellious people
[30] (The right side) is a description of the bank, meaning the right side of the valley in relation to the right side of Musa (peace be upon him), and the right side is associated with goodness and blessing.
(From the tree) — this is an appositive (badal) to the bank, and the meaning is that a voice came from the side of the tree saying, "I am Allah," as the incarnationists say — that Allah the Exalted had incarnated into the tree, and so it said, "I am Allah" (We seek refuge in Allah from such beliefs).
They claim that Allah the Exalted, whenever He wills, can dwell in any type of creature, and then that creature can claim divinity. But this belief is false and outright disbelief, because it opens the door for any creature to claim divinity and lordship.
And in Surah Al-Anbiya (21:29) it says: (And whoever among them says, “Indeed, I am a god besides Him,” then We will reward him with Hell) — meaning whether someone says this deliberately or unintentionally, both are included.
[31] Likewise, this has passed in Surah Naml, and this is the first miracle. And since in this Surah (Al-Qasas) the location of the call was clearly mentioned, the phrase "Come forward" was added to emphasize: face this place directly.
And since the purpose in Surah Naml was to convey wisdoms, it mentioned “The messengers do not fear in My presence” — which contains an indication of wisdoms.
[32] This is the second miracle. Since the purpose in this Surah is to mention the early stages, the first part of this miracle refers to inserting the hand into the garment. After that comes placing the hand against the side, which is mentioned in Surah Taha (20:22): “And draw your hand close to your side to calm your fear.”
There are two points here:
First: If, due to the radiance of the hand, awe overcomes you, then reinsert your hand into your garment — the radiance will disappear. So this is a completion of the second miracle.
Second: Whenever fear or awe overtakes you — whether from the snake, Pharaoh, or anything else — do this action to remove it: place your hands together on your chest, and the fear will leave you. And it is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that after Musa (peace be upon him), this method is beneficial for anyone.
(Two proofs) — this indicates that miracles are definitive proofs of Tawhid and Prophethood. And this is also evidence that “place your hand to your side” is not an independent (third) miracle.
