﴾6﴿ Faqad kazzaboo fasa yaateehim ambaaa'u maa kaanoo bihee yastahzi'oon

﴾6﴿ Indeed, they denied the truth, so soon the consequence of what they used to mock will come upon them
﴾7﴿ Do they not see the earth, how much We have caused to grow in it of every beneficial kind of plant
﴾8﴿ Surely, in this, there is indeed a lesson, yet most of them are not believers
﴾9﴿ And surely, your Lord is indeed All-Powerful (over His enemies), especially Merciful (toward His friends)
﴾10﴿ And when your Lord called out to Moses (peace be upon him), saying, Go to the people of the wrongdoers
﴾11﴿ The people of Pharaoh—will they not save themselves from disbelief
[7] In this warning, the turning away is from rational proof, after already turning away from the reminder (the Qur’an).
And in this proof, what is meant by “the earth and its vegetation” is the various types of plants with their different benefits.
[8,9] This is a detailed explanation of the surah's claim: that there are many signs both in the Qur’an and in the earth and its vegetation, but they (the disbelievers), out of stubbornness and opposition, deny them—and this is the cause of punishment.
And Allah is ‘Azīz (Almighty), meaning He punishes the deniers, and Rahīm (Merciful), meaning He saves the believers from punishment.
These phrases are mentioned eight times in this surah, indicating that the cause of punishment is denial (lack of faith).
[10] From this verse up to verse 191 is the second section. In it, the events of seven prophets (peace be upon them) are mentioned, and it contains many benefits:
First: These are transmitted (scriptural) evidences supporting the claim of Surah Al-Furqan.
Second: These are examples of punishment upon those who denied the truth.
Third: It provides comfort to the prophets and the believers, by showing how they were saved from worldly punishments and the punishment of the Hereafter.
Then, from this verse up to verse 68, the story of Musa (peace be upon him) is detailed in four stages:
First stage: Until verse 17. In this stage, the prophethood of Musa (peace be upon him) is mentioned, how two fears were removed from him, how he prayed for his brother and his brother’s prophethood was accepted, and the purpose of his mission is described.
And in verse 10, the call of the Lord to Musa (peace be upon him) is mentioned briefly, while its detailed account is in Surah Tā-Hā.
[11] In this verse, the essence of the message is mentioned, which is taqwā (God-consciousness).
In this surah, taqwā is emphasized in the call of all the prophets, and this is a unanimously agreed-upon matter.
What is meant by taqwā here is to be saved from all forms of shirk (polytheism) and kufr (disbelief).
