ْقَالَ أَلَمْ 745 طٰهٰ

إِنَّهُ مَنْ يَأْتِ رَبَّهُ مُجْرِمًا فَإِنَّ لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَى ﴿۷۴﴾ وَمَنْ يَأْتِهِ مُؤْمِنًا قَدْ عَمِلَ الصَّالِحَاتِ فَأُولَئِكَ لَهُمُ الدَّرَجَاتُ الْعُلَى ﴿۷۵﴾ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَذَلِكَ جَزَاءُ مَنْ تَزَكَّى ﴿۷۶﴾ وَلَقَدْ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي فَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ طَرِيقًا فِي الْبَحْرِ يَبَسًا لَا تَخَافُ دَرَكًا وَلَا تَخْشَى ﴿۷۷﴾ فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ بِجُنُودِهِ فَغَشِيَهُمْ مِنَ الْيَمِّ مَا غَشِيَهُمْ ﴿۷۸﴾

﴾74﴿ Innahoo mai ya'ti Rabbahoo mujriman fa inna lahoo Jahannama laa yamootu feehaa wa laa yahyaa
﴾75﴿ Wa mai ya'tihee mu'minan qad 'amilas saalihaati fa ulaaa'ika lahumud darajaatul 'ulaa
﴾76﴿ Jannaatu 'Adnin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa; wa zaalika jazaaa'u man tazakka
﴾77﴿ Wa laqad awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa an asri bi'ibaadee fadrib lahum tareeqan fil bahri yabasal laa takhaafu darakanw wa laa takhshaa
﴾78﴿ Fa atba'ahum Fir'awnu bijunoodihee faghashiyahum minal yammmi maa ghashi yahum

﴾74﴿ Indeed, whoever comes to their Lord as a criminal, for them is Hell, where they neither die nor truly live (a meaningful life)
﴾75﴿ And whoever comes to Him as a believer, having done righteous deeds, for such people there will be elevated ranks
﴾76﴿ Gardens of eternal residence beneath which rivers flow, where they will abide forever. This is the reward for those who purify themselves (from shirk)
﴾77﴿ And indeed, We revealed to Moses (peace be upon him): Travel by night with My servants, and strike (the sea) for them to make a dry path in the sea. You will not fear being overtaken, nor will you fear drowning
﴾78﴿ Then Pharaoh pursued them with his armies, but the sea overwhelmed them with what it covered and concealed them

[74] In this verse, there is a warning about the Hereafter for the deniers.
The word “mujrimān” (criminals) indicates that on the Day of Judgment, the sins of the wrongdoers will be exposed.
(Wa lā yaḥyā) means that such a person cannot benefit from life — his life will bring no good.
A similar expression is found in verse 13 of Surah A‘lā: “wa lā yamūt” — and this is proof that the people of Hell will remain there forever.
[75,76] In this verse, there is glad tidings of the Hereafter.
The phrase “qad ‘amilaṣ-ṣāliḥāt” refers to courage and steadfastness, like that of the magicians.
(Ad-darajātul-‘ulā) — according to hadith, Paradise has one hundred levels, and the distance between each level is like that between the heavens and the earth.
In the final sentence, it is indicated that Paradise is the place of the pure, and purity is attained through faith and righteous deeds.
(Tazakkā) — Ibn Kathir says: Purify yourselves from the filth and impurity of shirk, worship Allah the Exalted, and follow the messengers.
[77] From this verse begins the fifth section, up to verse (82), which speaks of the salvation of the Children of Israel and the drowning of Pharaoh along with his people. Then it is a reminder to the Children of Israel of Allah’s blessings, along with warning and glad tidings.
Note: In this verse, the migration of the Children of Israel is mentioned briefly, while its full detail is found in Surah Ash-Shu‘arā.
Ṭarīqan is a collective noun, meaning plural — referring to twelve paths.
Darakān means Pharaoh would have caught you — and saved you not from drowning.
Wa lā takhshā — do not fear (in the sea).
The command to migrate at night was due to the fact that corrupt people are usually heedless during the night.
And this migration took place by the command and revelation of Allah the Exalted.
[78] In this verse, the drowning of Pharaoh and his army is mentioned briefly.
The phrase (mā ghashiyahum) — “that which overwhelmed them” — is expressed with ambiguity to convey the immense magnitude and terror of the event.
This style is similar to what appears in Surah An-Najm (53:54).
