وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا 329 الأعراف

لَهُمْ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَمِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ ﴿۴۱﴾ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا أُولَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ ﴿۴۲﴾ وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنْ غِلٍّ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الْأَنْهَارُ وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلَا أَنْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَنُودُوا أَنْ تِلْكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿۴۳﴾

﴾41﴿ Lahum min jahannama mihaadunw wa min fawqihim ghawaash; wa kazaalika najziz zaalimeen
﴾42﴿ Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati laa nukallifu nafsan illaa wus'ahaaa ulaaa'ika Ashaabul jannati hum feehaa khaalidoon
﴾43﴿ Wa naza'naa maa fee sudoorihim min ghillin tajree min tahtihimul anhaaru wa qaalul hamdu lillaahil lazee hadaanaa lihaaza wa maa kunna linahtadiya law laaa ann hadaanal laahu laqad jaaa'at Rusulu Rabbinaa bilhaqq; wa noodoo an tilkumul jannnatu ooristumoohaa bimaa kuntum ta'maloon

﴾41﴿ Theirs will be a mattress from hell and above them will be blankets (from fire) and this is how We will punish the wrongdoers
﴾42﴿ And those who believed and acted in the manner of the Holy Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, we do not impose a duty on anyone Except to the extent of his strength, those people are the inhabitants of Jannah, they will live forever there
﴾43﴿ And we bring out what is in their hearts from sadness Rivers are flowing from under their palaces and they say that the attributes of being a God is for one Allah Almighty that brought us here and we would never have reached here if Allah Almighty didn't bring us here, indeed The Messengers of our Lord had come to be told the truth and they will be called that this is heaven, given to you because of what you were doing

[41] This also falls under the category of warnings about the Hereafter.
"مِهَادٌ" refers to a bedding that has been spread out for sleeping, and "غَوَاشٍ" refers to what covers from above.
This indicates that the fire of Hell will surround them from all sides.
The criminals are mentioned in relation to deprivation, while the wrongdoers are mentioned in relation to being surrounded—because zulm (wrongdoing) is a greater sin than jurm (crime).
[42] This is a glad tiding of the Hereafter.
"(لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا)" is an interjected sentence, indicating that faith and righteous deeds are not beyond your capacity.
It implies that it is necessary for a believer to expend their ability and strength in striving for Paradise.
[43] The point here is that if someone says that in Paradise, the ranks are at different levels, then those in the lower ranks might feel sorrow—that sorrow is referred to as "ghill" (grudge or distress).
But the answer is given that Allah Most High will remove this natural constriction from their hearts. This is mentioned in verse 47 of Surah Al-Hijr.
"(هَدَانَا لِهَذَا)" in this verse refers to the final stage of guidance, which is entry into Paradise.
"(بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ)" — Question: In hadith it is mentioned that one cannot enter Paradise through deeds, but through the mercy of Allah Most High. So what is the explanation?
Answer: One explanation is that in the hadith, mercy refers to Tawheed (belief in the oneness of Allah), and in this verse, تَعْمَلُونَ also refers to Tawheed.
Another explanation is that mercy is the inner cause, and deeds are the outward cause.
"(غِلٍّ)" refers to an involuntary kind of grief, so it is not considered a sin—as long as it doesn’t lead to envy or hatred.
"(لَقَدْ جَاءَتْ)" mentions the cause of attaining Paradise in a pleasant way.
"(أُورِثْتُمُوهَا)" mentions inheritance, and what is meant by it is deserving, just as inheritance is the right of the heir.
