﴾159﴿ Wa im min Ahlil Kitaabi illaa layu'minanna bihee qabla mawtihee wa Yawmal Qiyaamati yakoonu 'alaihim shaheedaa
﴾160﴿ Fabizulmin minal lazeena haadoo harramnaa 'alaihim taiyibaatin uhillat lahum wa bisadihim 'an sabeelil laahi kaseeraa
﴾161﴿ Wa akhzihimur ribaa wa qad nuhoo 'anhu wa aklihim amwaalan naasi bilbaatil; wa a'tadnaa lilkaafireena minhum 'azaaban aleema
﴾162﴿ Laakinir raasikhoona fil'ilmi minhum walmu'minoona yu'minoona bimaaa unzila ilaika wa maaa unzila min qablika walmuqeemeenas Salaata walmu'toonaz Zakaata walmu 'minoona billaahi wal yawmil Aakhir; ulaaa'ika sanu'teehim ajran 'azeemaa

﴾159﴿ And there is no one among the People of the Book but those will believe in him before his death and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness on them
﴾160﴿ So, because of the oppression of the Jews, We prohibited them the delicious things that had been made lawful, And because of their forbidding many people from the way of Allah Almighty
﴾161﴿ And because of their taking usury, and they were prohibited from it, and their eating of people's wealth unjustly, and We have prepared for the disbelievers from them a painful punishment
﴾162﴿ But among them are those who are steadfast in knowledge, and the believers who believe in the Book that was revealed to you and what was revealed before you, and (blessed are) those who perform prayer and those who give alms

[159] The better interpretation is that when Jesus (peace be upon him) descends from the sky, then those who are people of the book will believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) It is also in the hadith of Abu Hurairah May Allah be pleased with him - and the testimony of Jesus on them is mentioned in Surat al -Maida -
[160] This expression is another reason for the prohibition of pure things and the meaning of pure things is, banning man and salwa, and banning fat, and what is mentioned in verse (146) of Surah An'am, and the happiness and security of life
Note: Due to these causes, rain sometimes stops on this ummah, expensiveness comes and they are humiliated and defeated - may Allah protect us from these actions - Ameen
[161] In these two causes of sanctions are mentioned, (بِالْبَاطِلِ) (bilbaatil) All those methods by which other people's property is obtained are included in it, without the legitimate methods like theft, usurpation, trickery, etc, (مِنْهُمْ) (minhum) This indicates that all Jews did not have these characteristics and steadfastness against disbelief -
[162] Because he mentioned the oppressors and disbelievers in the previous verses, now he mentions against them and giving them good news, (الرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ) (ir raasikhoona fil'ilmi) They are the scholars who follow perfect the book of Allah, (وَالْمُقِيمِينَ) (walmuqeemeena) It is a reference that this is specific to praise and it is a reference to the importance of prayer, (سَنُؤْتِيهِمْ) (sanu'teehim) Seen is for emphasis -
