وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ أَنِ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَإِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَنِيًّا حَمِيدًا ﴿۱۳۱﴾ وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا ﴿۱۳۲﴾ إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ وَيَأْتِ بِآخَرِينَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ قَدِيرًا ﴿۱۳۳﴾ مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا فَعِنْدَ اللَّهِ ثَوَابُ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا ﴿۱۳۴﴾
﴾131﴿ Wa lillaahi maafis samaawaati wa maa fil ard; wa laqad wassainal lazeena ootul Kitaaba min qablikum wa iyyaakum anit taqul laah; wa intakfuroo fa inna lillaahi maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ard; wa kaanal laahu Ghaniyyan hameedaa
﴾132﴿ Wa lillaahi maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ard; wa kafaa billaahi Wakeelaa
﴾133﴿ Iny-yasha' yuzhibkum aiyuhan naasu wa ya'ti bi aakhareen; wa kaanal laahu 'alaa zaalika Qadeeraa
﴾134﴿ man kaana yureedu sawaabad dunyaa fa'indallaahi sawaabud dunyaa wal Aakhirah; wa kaanal laahu Samee'am Baseeraa
﴾131﴿ And to Allah alone belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth.
And We have certainly commanded those who were given the Book before you, and you (as well), to fear Allah.
And if you disbelieve, then surely to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah is Self-Sufficient, Worthy of all praise.
﴾132﴿ And to Allah alone belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah is sufficient as a Disposer of affairs.
﴾133﴿ And if Allah wills, He can destroy you, O people, and bring forth another people; and Allah is ever capable of that.
﴾134﴿ Whoever desires the reward of this world (through his actions), then with Allah is the reward of this world and the Hereafter (so seek both).
And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
[131-132] In this statement of tawḥīd, three points are emphasized:
The first is that you should fear only Allah, because all authority belongs to Allah alone.
The second is that you should ask only from Allah.
The third is that you should rely only on Allah, because only Allah is the true Protector.
All three of these matters (fearing Allah, asking from Him, and relying on Him) are related to fulfilling the rights of women.
(Wa in takfurū) — the consequence is implied: “For indeed, Allah is free of need from you.”
[133] This is also a proof of tawḥīd and a worldly warning.
[134] This is encouragement toward the Hereafter — that you should ask Allah for both this world and the Hereafter, and not seek only the world.
(Thawāba ad-dunyā) here means seeking the reward for good deeds only in this world, by which the deed is wasted.
