[106] Prophets, peace be upon them, are innocent of sins, whether they are minor or major - and seeking forgiveness does not require sin, but it is an act of worship that the innocent do as well - Therefore, for the Prophets, peace be upon him, this address is for the teaching of the nation and for obedience, as well as doing the opposite of the first, which is not a sin because it says - حَسَنَاتُ اْلَاَبْرَارِ سَیِّئاتُ الْمُقَرَّبِیْنَ (The good deeds of the righteous are the bad deeds of the close ones) - Or is it meant by the verse of forgiveness for traitors when they repent -
[107] In the address of the believers, it is generally meant that they betray by stealing or swearing falsely, as the commentators have written the incident in detail, And it mentions the bad qualities of the hypocrites, and in these verses there is a reference to the incident of Tama, which the commentators have written in detail, And taking sides with that hypocrite and swearing false oaths for this hypocrite would make other hypocrites - (خَوَّانًا أَثِيمًا) (khawwaanan aseemaa) In both of these attributes, there is a reference to stealing and swearing falsely -
[108] It is a punishment for the hypocrites and mentions their three evils, (يَسْتَخْفُونَ) (Yastakhfoona) The meaning of hiding oneself is modesty and shame -
[109] This is also a punishment for the hypocrites, and this verse is a proof that It is not permissible for the one to act as a lawyer for a criminal in order to save himself from the punishment -
