﴾264﴿Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tubtiloo sadaqaatikum bilmanni wal azaa kallazee yunfiqu maalahoo ri'aaa'an naasi wa laa yu'minu billaahi wal yawmil aakhiri famasaluhoo kamasali safwaanin 'alaihi turaabun fa asaabahoo waabilun fatara kahoo saldaa; laa yaqdiroona 'alaa shai'im mimmaa kasaboo; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmal kaafireen
﴾263﴿ Kind words and forgiveness are better than those blessings that are followed by harming them, and Allah, the Exalted, is Merciful and Forbearing
﴾264﴿O believers: Don't waste (the reward of) your almsgiving because of abuse and harassment, like the one who spends his wealth to show it to people, and does not believe in Allah Almighty and the Last Day, so his example is like a smooth stone, that there is dust on it, then will reach it heavy rain, then it will leave it smooth, They do not get any reward for what they have done, and Allah Almighty does not reward the disbelievers
[263] In this, he mentions the shortcoming of harm, in contrast to good morals, And it is similar to Azaa Maan - (قَوْلٌ مَعْرُوفٌ) (Qawlum ma'roofu) It means speaking softly to the questioner when making an excuse and when he uses a thick accent in the question, Forgiving him even though he does not give charity is better than charity with maan and azaa - (غَنِيٌّ) (Ghani) That is, Allah Almighty does not want charity and charity for Himself, but rather it is for your benefit -
[264] In this verse, there is a second example for the one who spends in a wrong way - and in this example, it is for example, The point is that he gave the example of Maan and Azaa with hypocrisy in the loss of reward, and he presented the example of hypocrisy to a flat stone on which nothing is cultivated - In the same way, hypocrisy does not benefit anyone, and describing people (which is the goal of hypocrisy) is like dust, useless, and when it comes to reckoning with the hereafter, it is to remain unrewarded like the rain that cleans the stone - (وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ) (wa laa yu'minu) It means that he is a real hypocrite or that he does not believe in reward - (لَايَقْدِرُونَ) (laa yaqdiroona) What is meant is that no reward for this action will come to him, (لَا يَهْدِي) (laa yahdi) What is meant by this is to reward or guide by force -
