﴾221﴿And do not marry polytheist women until they believe, and a believing slave girl is better than a polytheist (who is free), even though she may surprise you (with her beauty and wealth), And do not marry (your daughters and sisters) to polytheist men until they believe, And of course, a monotheist slave is better than a (free) polytheist, even if he admires you (beauty and its possessions) Those people invite to the fire, and Allah the Exalted asks for Paradise and forgiveness according to His decree, and He expresses His decrees to the people so that they may be admonished
﴾222﴿And they ask about menstruation, say that it is impure, so stay away from women in the place of menstruation And do not come close to them until they are purified, So when they are clean (by bathing), then come to them from the place that Allah Almighty has decreed for you, indeed Allah loves those who repent and those who keep themselves clean
[221] This is the sixth commandment, prohibiting the marriage of the people of polytheism Because there cannot be an understanding between the Monotheist and the polytheist, And this is a rejection of the ignorants, who consider wealth, beauty, and lineage in marriage - and Allah the Exalted said to consider belief and monotheism -
Note: Shirk is that, apart from Allah the Exalted, he considers someone else to be the possessor of authority and the power of benefit and harm, or he considers the unseen, or they perform the special service of Allah the Exalted, such as prostration and vows, for other people besides Allah the Exalted.
Note2: People of the Book are excluded from polytheists because of verse (5) of Surah Maydeh, although the word polytheists includes them - (أُولَئِكَ يَدْعُونَ) (ulaaa'ika yad'oona) This is the reason for the sanctity of the marriage of the people of polytheism, (النَّارِ) (ilan Naari) refers to those actions that lead to fire (الْجَنَّةِ) (ilal Jannati) refers to those actions that lead to heaven -
[222] This is the seventh commandment to keep oneself from harm. This is rejected, like the ignorant Jews who hated women during menstruation, and the Christians who consider it permissible to be close to her in this state, and there is no excess or deficiency in the rule of Islam - (الْمَحِيضِ) (Al maheedi) The place of menstruation, which is a special private part, is the place of duty - (لَا تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ) (laa taqraboo hunna) It means intercourse - (يَطْهُرْنَ) (yathurna) This means stopping the blood - (أَمَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ) (amarakumul laah) that your proximity has allowed to it - (التَّوَّابِينَ) (Al Tawwaabeena) The one who approaches while she is menstruating and sincerely repents - (الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ) (ul mutatahhireen) The one who doesn't approach her at all during menstruation -
