مَثَلُهُمْ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا فَلَمَّا أَضَاءَتْ مَا حَوْلَهُ ذَهَبَ اللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ فِي ظُلُمَاتٍ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿17﴾ صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ ﴿18﴾

﴾17﴿Masaluhum kamasalillazis tawqada naaran falammaaa adaaa'at maa hawlahoo zahabal laahu binoorihim wa tarakahum fee zulumaatil laa yubsiroon
﴾18﴿Summum bukmun 'umyun fahum laa yarji'oon

﴾17﴿Their state is like the state of the one who lit the fire, so when the fire lit up everything around it, Allah the Exalted removed its light and left them in the darkness where they can't see anything
﴾18﴿They are deaf and dumb and blind, so they do not return (from going astray to the truth)

[17]This is an example of unbelievers or hypocrites who forbid people from the Qur'an and do not listen to it themselves، the description of it is that the hypocrites have obtained the light of faith with آمَنَّا (we accepted the islam), just as a person has lit a fire, A hypocrite has obtained worldly benefits through faith, a share in the booty, a share in the wealth of Zakat, like a person who has lit a fire that lights up its surroundings, During trials and tribulations, its disbelief was revealed, or when he died, the light of faith was destroyed, Like when a storm comes over a lighted fire and its light is destroyed and darkness remains - Also, this example can be obvious to the unbeliever, the detail of it is that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, illuminated the Light of Monotheism and the Qur'an in Makkah,from far around the people benefited from it and believed, the infidels of Makkah did not listen to the Qur'an and forbade the other people from it, So the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, migrated and the people of Makkah remained in the darkness, such as the darkness of polytheism, disbelief, custom, and so on, In the same way, the Narrator of the Qur'an that if the people of one place do not benefit from it, Allah will send this owner of the Qur'an to another place, and these people will remain in darkness - (اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا) (is tawqada naaran) With the previous explanation, it is pointed out that the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, has tried very hard to illuminate the light, And here mentioned the fire that firewood is used to light it, so the Companions and other students of the Qur'an were prepared - (بِنُورِهِمْ) (binoorihim) fire was not mentioned because monotheism the mission and the Qur'an are the light of the Messenger, and with the emigration of the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, all this was transferred to Madinah - In the same way, there are two attributes of light and burning in fire, the light goes away and burning remains -
[18] It is a disbeliever's statement, which means that these disbelievers and hypocrites are obstinate, their scientific senses have been destroyed، the aim is that there is no means left for them to get out of the darkness, Their ears, eyes and tongue do not move for the truth - (لَا يَرْجِعُونَ) (laa yarji'oon) They cannot return to guidance from going astray -
