فَمَنْ أَظْلَمَُ 1149 غافر
ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُونَ ﴿۶۲﴾ كَذَلِكَ يُؤْفَكُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ ﴿۶۳﴾ اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَصَوَّرَكُمْ فَأَحْسَنَ صُوَرَكُمْ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿۶۴﴾ هُوَ الْحَيُّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿۶۵﴾ قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَمَّا جَاءَنِيَ الْبَيِّنَاتُ مِنْ رَبِّي وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿۶۶﴾
﴾62﴿ Zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum khaaliqu kulli shai'in; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fa annaa tu'fakoon
﴾63﴿ Kazaalika yu'fakul lazeena kaanoo bi Aayaatil laahi yajhadoon
﴾64﴿ Allaahul lazee ja'ala lakumul arda qaraaranw wassa maaa'a binaaa'anw wa sawwarakum fa ahsana suwarakum wa razaqakum minat taiyibaat; zaalikumul laahu Rabbukum fatabaarakal laahu Rabbul 'aalameen
﴾65﴿ Huwal Hayyu laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa fad'oohu mukh liseena lahud-deen; alhamdu lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen
﴾66﴿ Qul innee nuheetu an a'budal lazeena tad'oona min doonil laahi lammaa jaaa'a niyal baiyinaatu mir Rabbee wa umirtu an uslima li Rabbil 'aalameen
﴾62﴿ This is Allah, the Exalted, your Lord, the Creator of all things. There is no deity worthy of worship except Him. So how are you turned away from the truth
﴾63﴿ Thus were those who used to deny the signs of Allah, the Exalted, turned away
﴾64﴿ Allah, the Exalted, is the One who made the earth a place of rest for you and the sky a canopy, and He shaped you and perfected your forms, and provided you with pure sustenance. This is Allah, the Exalted, your Lord. So blessed is Allah, the Lord of all worlds
﴾65﴿ Allah, the Exalted, is ever-living; there is none worthy of being called upon except Him. So call upon Him with sincerity in worship. All divine attributes belong solely to Allah, the Exalted, the Lord of all worlds
﴾66﴿ Say, Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those whom you call upon besides Allah, the Exalted, since clear proofs have come to me from my Lord. And I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of all worlds
[62] This verse presents both a rational proof and the conclusion of the previous argument.
It combines both:
Tawḥīd al-Rubūbiyyah (Oneness of Lordship) — that Allah alone is the Creator, Sustainer, and Controller of all things,
And Tawḥīd al-Ulūhiyyah (Oneness of Worship) — that only He is deserving of worship and supplication.
By proving His exclusive Lordship, the verse establishes that worshipping anyone else is baseless, thus affirming the full message of tawḥīd.
[63] In this verse, the reason for turning away is mentioned: it is the denial of the signs of Allah, the Exalted. This reason is common among all deniers.
[64] This is also a proof, and in it, four great blessings are mentioned—those previous blessings were related to time, while these are related to place. Along with the mention of place, the resident (human) is also mentioned. Thus, in this verse, the blessings of the horizons—both upper and lower—and the inner self are all mentioned together as proofs.
("Fa-tabārak")—this is an addition to the previous blessings, and barakah (blessing) means to produce abundant benefit. Benefit that increases over time is referred to as growth, and its explanation has already been given earlier.
[65] This is also a proof, and it mentions the oneness of divinity (tawḥīd al-ulūhiyyah) and the oneness in supplication (tawḥīd fī al-duʿāʾ) together with praise (ḥamd) as a conclusion.
[66] This is the conclusion of the previous proofs, meaning these proofs necessitate the prohibition of polytheism and the command to monotheism. It is also a response to the polytheists, as they call towards the worship of others besides Allah—so this can be considered a reply to them.
