وَمَنْ يَقْنُتَْْ 1034 الأحزاب

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ آذَوْا مُوسَى فَبَرَّأَهُ اللَّهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا وَكَانَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَجِيهًا ﴿۶۹﴾ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا ﴿۷۰﴾ يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا ﴿۷۱﴾

﴾69﴿ Yaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa takoonoo kalla zeena aazaw Moosaa fa barra ahul laahu mimma qaaloo; wa kaana 'indal laahi wajeehaa
﴾70﴿ Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanut taqul laaha wa qooloo qawlan sadeedaa
﴾71﴿ Yuslih lakum a'maalakum wa yaghfir lakum zunoobakum; wa mai yuti'il laaha wa Rasoolahoo faqad faaza fawzan 'azeemaa

﴾69﴿ O believers, do not be like those who troubled Moses (peace be upon him), but Allah the Exalted saved him from what they said, and he was honorable in the sight of Allah the Exalted
﴾70﴿ O believers, fear Allah the Exalted and speak words that are just (in accordance with the Sharia)
﴾71﴿ Then He will accept your deeds and forgive your sins for you. And whoever obeys Allah the Exalted and His Messenger has certainly attained a great success

[69] This address is directed to the believers. After mentioning the punishment of those who harm the Prophet (May Allah bless him and give him peace), and clarifying that such behavior is characteristic of disbelievers and hypocrites, now the believers are warned not to harm the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and give him peace) and not to resemble the Jews (like those who harmed Moses).
One form of harm to Moses (peace be upon him) was that they refused to fight and said, "Go, you and your Lord, and fight – we will sit here" – this is referred to in Surah al-Saff (5).
The second harm was that they falsely accused him of killing his brother, Aaron (peace be upon him).
The third is reported by Imam Bukhari from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that Moses (peace be upon him) used to bathe alone away from the Israelites, while they bathed together. So they accused him, saying he bathed alone because he had a disease such as dropsy (swollen testicles) or vitiligo (white patches).
(And he was honorable in the sight of Allah) – meaning they tried to disgrace him with such accusations, but he was honored before Allah the Exalted. No one can diminish the honor of a person of this status.
“Wajīhan” means one of high rank, whose prayers are accepted, who is beloved and honored.
[70] This final address to the believers is a call to piety (taqwā), just as the address at the beginning of the surah was directed to the Prophet (May Allah bless him and give him peace) for taqwā.
And taqwā is a comprehensive term that encompasses all the rulings mentioned in the addresses throughout this surah, urging one to act upon all of them.
[71] These two benefits of taqwā and speaking upright words are mentioned: He will rectify your deeds for you — meaning, your actions will attain goodness and be accepted.
(And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger) — this phrase is mentioned at the conclusion of the rulings because the foundation of everything is obedience to Allah the Exalted and His Messenger.
