وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا ﴿۴۲﴾ هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَحِيمًا ﴿۴۳﴾ تَحِيَّتُهُمْ يَوْمَ يَلْقَوْنَهُ سَلَامٌ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا كَرِيمًا ﴿۴۴﴾

﴾42﴿ Wa sabbihoohu bukratanw wa aseela
﴾43﴿ Huwal lazee yusallee 'alaikum wa malaaa'ikatuhoo liyukhrijakum minazzulumaati ilan-noor wa kaana bilmu'mineena Raheemaa
﴾44﴿ Tahiyyatuhum Yawma yalqawnahoo salaamunw wa a'adda lahum ajran kareemaa

﴾42﴿ And glorify Him morning and evening
﴾43﴿ Allah, the Exalted, is the One who elevates your status (with His mercy), and His angels [pray for you] so that He may bring you out of darkness into light. And He is especially Merciful to the believers
﴾44﴿ Their greeting on the Day they meet Allah, the Exalted, will be "Peace," and He has prepared for them a noble reward

[43] This verse explains the reason for the previous one — meaning: engage in dhikr (remembrance) and tasbīḥ (glorification) because Allah and His angels send blessings (ṣalāh) upon you.
Or it can be understood as a result and continuation: since you are constantly engaged in dhikr and tasbīḥ, Allah sends ṣalāh upon you.
The ṣalāh of Allah and the angels becomes the means by which you are brought out from darkness into light, and that in turn becomes a cause for special divine mercy.
Ṣalāh (from Allah) originally means attention, care, and mercy, and includes mentioning the believer with praise among the angels.
Ṣalāh (from the angels) means seeking forgiveness for the believers — since the angels’ prayers are accepted, their istighfār leads to elevation of ranks.
When believers say “Ṣallā Allāhu ‘alayhi” or similar phrases, they are asking Allah for mercy upon the Prophet or others.
"Al-ẓulumāt" — refers to the darknesses of hypocrisy, objections, and criticism of the people of truth.
It also includes disbelief, shirk, and ignorance.
"Al-nūr" — refers to certainty (yaqīn), perfect faith (īmān), pure monotheism (tawḥīd), and adherence to the Sunnah.
[44] This verse contains a glad tiding of the Hereafter.
"Taḥiyyah" refers to any expression that brings joy to the one being addressed — such as the du‘ā “Ḥayyāk Allāh” or the greeting “As-salāmu ‘alaykum.”
It can also include praising Allah with beautiful attributes.
In this verse, the intended meaning is joyful and pleasing words, while “salām” refers to peace, safety, and congratulatory greetings for being granted that peace.
