وَقَالَتِ امْرَأَتُ فِرْعَوْنَ قُرَّتُ عَيْنٍ لِي وَلَكَ لَا تَقْتُلُوهُ عَسَى أَنْ يَنْفَعَنَا أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُ وَلَدًا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ ﴿۹﴾ وَأَصْبَحَ فُؤَادُ أُمِّ مُوسَى فَارِغًا إِنْ كَادَتْ لَتُبْدِي بِهِ لَوْلَا أَنْ رَبَطْنَا عَلَى قَلْبِهَا لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿۱۰﴾ وَقَالَتْ لِأُخْتِهِ قُصِّيهِ فَبَصُرَتْ بِهِ عَنْ جُنُبٍ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ ﴿۱۱﴾

﴾9﴿ Wa qaalatim ra atu Fir'awna qurratu 'aynil lee wa lak; laa taqtuloohu 'asaaa aiyanfa'anaa aw nattakhizahoo waladanw wa hum laa yash'uroon
﴾10﴿ Wa asbaha fu'aadu ummi Moosaa faarighan in kaadat latubdee bihee law laaa arrabatnaa 'alaa qalbihaa litakoona minal mu'mineen
﴾11﴿ Wa qaalat li ukhtihee qusseehi fabasurat bihee 'an junubinw wahum laa yash'uroon

﴾9﴿ And Pharaoh's wife said, "He will be a comfort of the eye for me and you. Do not kill him; perhaps he may benefit us, or we may adopt him as a son." And they did not know
﴾10﴿ And the heart of Moses' mother became empty of everything except the thought of her son. Indeed, she was about to reveal his condition had We not strengthened her heart so that she could be among the believers
﴾11﴿ And she said to his sister, "Follow him." So she watched him from a distance while they did not know

[9] This is a blessing from Allah, the Exalted: the deliverance from hardship and the protection of Musa (peace be upon him).
That is, Allah made the wife of Pharaoh the means of protecting Musa (peace be upon him).
This woman had hoped for some benefit, and Allah granted her guidance through Musa (peace be upon him).
Her mention is found in Surah At-Tahrim (66:11).
“Or we may adopt him as a son”—this indicates that he was not her biological child, but because Pharaoh lacked manliness, he remained silent.
“While they were unaware”—this is an independent statement refuting the people of Pharaoh, who at that time did not recognize Musa (peace be upon him).
Or this could be the woman’s statement, meaning: “Let us secretly consider him our son, so that others will not know; they will think he is truly our own child.”
[10] In this verse, a hardship concerning Musa (peace be upon him) is mentioned, but it is accompanied by a blessing in the form of an honor.
This is because the strengthening of the heart during such a trial is a divine blessing and honor from Allah, the Exalted.
Similarly, the strengthening of the hearts of the Companions of the Cave is mentioned in Surah Al-Kahf (18:14).
“From among the believers” refers to one who remains firm in faith during times of hardship and trial, and who has certainty in the promises of Allah, the Exalted.
[11] When the mother of Musa (peace be upon him) came to know that he had reached Pharaoh’s house, her heart remained firm.
To get more information, she sent the sister of Musa (peace be upon him) to Pharaoh’s house.
She was also intelligent and cautious, as she did not go near Musa (peace be upon him) so that no one would suspect that she was his sister.
For this reason, she observed him from a distance.
