ْقَالَ أَلَمْ 753 طٰهٰ

فَيَذَرُهَا قَاعًا صَفْصَفًا ﴿۱۰۶﴾ لَا تَرَى فِيهَا عِوَجًا وَلَا أَمْتًا ﴿۱۰۷﴾ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَّبِعُونَ الدَّاعِيَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُ وَخَشَعَتِ الْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًا ﴿۱۰۸﴾ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَا تَنْفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمَنُ وَرَضِيَ لَهُ قَوْلًا ﴿۱۰۹﴾ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِهِ عِلْمًا ﴿۱۱۰﴾

﴾106﴿ Fa yazaruhaa qaa'an safsafaa
﴾107﴿ Laa taraa feehaa 'iwajanw wa laaa amtaa
﴾108﴿ Yawma iziny yattabi'oonad daa'iya laa 'iwaja lahoo wa khasha'atil aswaatu lir Rahmaani falaa tasma'u illaa hamsaa
﴾109﴿ Yawma 'izil laa tanfa'ush shafaa'atu illaa man azina lahur Rahmaanu wa radiya lahoo qawlaa
﴾110﴿ Ya'lamu maa bainaa aideehim wa maa khalfahum wa laa yuheetoona bihee 'ilmaa

﴾106﴿ So let the earth become a clear field
﴾107﴿ You will see neither low nor high in it
﴾108﴿ On that day, people will move forward, and no crookedness will be found in it. The voices will fall silent out of fear of the Most Merciful, and you will hear nothing except a soft sound (like the rustling of footsteps)
﴾109﴿ On that day, intercession will not benefit anyone except the one to whom the Most Merciful has granted permission and is pleased with their word
﴾110﴿ He knows what is before them and what is behind them, but they cannot encompass Him (or His knowledge) with their understanding

[108] The meaning of the caller is the leader of the people, meaning the leader walks ahead and the followers come behind him.
Or the caller refers to Israfil (peace be upon him).
Or the caller refers to the one who gives the command on the Day of Judgment, meaning on that day they will respond to the command of the caller, though today they do not respond. This interpretation is mentioned by Ibn Kathir.
The word "lahu" means "from him," or the pronoun "lahu" refers to a singular in the sense of a collective.
"Hamsan" refers either to the sound of footsteps or to breathing—both interpretations are correct.
[109] In this verse, there is a refutation of forced intercession, and the meaning of "word" is the declaration of monotheism.
One interpretation of the verse is that "those whom the Most Merciful has permitted" refers to the intercessors.
Or it refers to those for whom intercession will be made.
[110] This is the reasoning of the previous verse, meaning these intercessors cannot intercede without permission because Allah is fully aware of their condition and incapability.
This affirms the attribute of knowledge for Allah and refutes associating others with Him in knowledge.
