رُبَمَاٍ 623 اَلنَّحْل

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللَّهُ النَّاسَ بِظُلْمِهِمْ مَا تَرَكَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ وَلَكِنْ يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ ﴿۶۱﴾ وَيَجْعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ مَا يَكْرَهُونَ وَتَصِفُ أَلْسِنَتُهُمُ الْكَذِبَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ الْحُسْنَى لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ النَّارَ وَأَنَّهُمْ مُفْرَطُونَ ﴿۶۲﴾ تَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَى أُمَمٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ الْيَوْمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴿۶۳﴾

﴾61﴿ Wa law yu'aakhizul laahun naasa bizulminhim maa taraka 'alaihaa min daaabbatinw wa laakiny yu'akhkhiruhum ilaaa ajalim musamman fa izaa jaaa'a ajaluhum laa yastaakhiroona saa'atanw wa laa yastaqdimoon
﴾62﴿ Wa yaj'aloona lillaahi maa yakrahoona wa tasifu alsinatuhumul kaziba anna lahumul husnaa laa jarama anna lahumun Naara wa annahum mufratoon
﴾63﴿ Tallaahi laqad arsalnaaa ilaaa umamim min qablika fazayyana lahumush Shaitaanu a'maalahum fahuwa waliyyuhumul yawma wa lahum 'azaabun aleem

﴾61﴿ And if Allah were to seize people for their wrongdoing, He would not leave on the earth a single living creature. But He grants them respite until an appointed time. Then, when their appointed time comes, they cannot delay it by an hour, nor can they advance it
﴾62﴿ And they attribute to Allah what they themselves dislike, and their tongues falsely claim that they will have goodness. Undoubtedly, for them is the Fire, and they will be hastened toward it
﴾63﴿ By Allah, We certainly sent messengers to many nations before you, but Satan made their deeds attractive to them. So he is their ally today, and for them is a painful punishment

[61] In this verse, there is a warning regarding worldly punishment, and it provides an answer to a potential question.
Since the oppressions committed by the polytheists have been mentioned, the question arises: Why doesn't punishment descend upon them for these injustices? This verse answers that question.
The essence of the verse is that if Allah were to punish creatures immediately for the sins of the sinners without granting pardon or delay, He would withhold the rains and vegetation, resulting in the death of all living beings. A similar meaning is mentioned in verse 45 of Surah Fatir.
(فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ) "When their appointed time arrives," is similar to the phrasing found in verse 34 of Surah Al-A'raf and verse 39 of Surah Yunus.
Point of Benefit: In Surah Al-A'raf and this Surah, the particle (فَا) is attached to (إِذَا) instead of the response clause (the consequence), preserving the eloquence of speech. In Surah Yunus, however, since there is no initial (فَا), it is attached directly to the consequence.
Furthermore, since Surah Yunus explicitly mentions a question about punishment, (فَا) is omitted from the response. But in this Surah and Surah Al-A'raf, as the question is not explicitly mentioned, the particle (فَا) is included.
And Allah knows best His wisdom.
[62] This verse contains a reprimand against polytheism along with their false claim that for them is "حسنیٰ" (goodness), meaning pleasure in this world and reward or paradise in the Hereafter.
(مُفْرَطُونَ) is derived from "فرط," meaning that they will be sent ahead, or will hasten toward the Fire, or that they will be forgotten. All these meanings are permissible.
[63] In this verse, there is consolation for the Messenger and reprimand and warning for the deniers.
It also mentions the cause of their misguidance, stating that they claim, despite their polytheism, goodness ("حسنیٰ") awaits them. Satan has made this attractive to them by portraying polytheism and innovation as good deeds deserving reward. The attribution of (فَزَيَّنَ) "made attractive" to Satan refers to his whispering.
(فَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمُ الْيَوْمَ) ("Thus he is their ally today") has two interpretations:
First, the pronoun "هُم" (them) refers back to the nations, and "today" means the life of this world or the Day of Resurrection.
Second, the pronoun "هُم" refers back to the polytheists, meaning that Satan, who was previously an ally of the earlier people, remains an ally to the polytheists today as well.
