قَالَ الْمَلَأُ 351 الأعراف

قَالُوا إِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُونَ ﴿۱۲۵﴾ وَمَا تَنْقِمُ مِنَّا إِلَّا أَنْ آمَنَّا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا لَمَّا جَاءَتْنَا رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ ﴿۱۲۶﴾ وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ أَتَذَرُ مُوسَى وَقَوْمَهُ لِيُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَيَذَرَكَ وَآلِهَتَكَ قَالَ سَنُقَتِّلُ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَنَسْتَحْيِي نِسَاءَهُمْ وَإِنَّا فَوْقَهُمْ قَاهِرُونَ ﴿۱۲۷﴾ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ اسْتَعِينُوا بِاللَّهِ وَاصْبِرُوا إِنَّ الْأَرْضَ لِلَّهِ يُورِثُهَا مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿۱۲۸﴾

﴾125﴿ Qaaloo innaaa ilaa Rabbinaa munqaliboon
﴾126﴿ Wa maa tanqimu minnaaa illaaa an aamannaa bi Aayaati Rabbinaa lammaa jaaa'atnaa; Rabbanaaa afrigh 'alainaa sabranw wa tawaffanaa muslimeen
﴾127﴿ Wa qaalal mala-u min qawmi Fir'awna atazaru Moosaa wa qawmahoo liyufsidoo fil ardi wa yazaraka wa aalihatak; qaala sanuqattilu abnaaa 'ahum wa nastahyee nisaaa'ahum wa innaa fawqahum qaahiroon
﴾128﴿ Qaala Moosaa liqawmihis ta'eenoo billaahi wasbiroo innal arda lillaahi yoorisuhaa mai yashaaa'u min 'ibaadihee wal 'aaqibatu lilmuttaqeen

﴾125﴿ They said indeed that we are turning to our Lord
﴾126﴿ And you don't think bad of us except for this saying that we believed in the revelations of our Lord When it comes to us, O our Lord, give us patience and let us die according to the belief of monotheism
﴾127﴿ And they said, the nobles from Pharaoh's people, will you leave Musa (peace be upon him) and his people to cause corruption in this land and leave your worship and your gods Pharaoh said, "It is too soon for us to kill their sons and leave their wives alive (for indecency) and indeed we will prevail over them in any way
﴾128﴿ Musa, peace be upon him, said to his people, seek help from Allah Almighty and be patient The earth is under the control of Allah Almighty, He gives whomever He wants from His servants, and the last end is for the pious

[125] This bravery and firmness are like those of the sorcerers, meaning they recognize their benefit in dying, for it is returning to their Lord.
[126] That is, you considered an act that leads to honor as something disgraceful. This proves the point that people have always shown hostility toward those who follow the truth because of their faith, just as mentioned in verse 8 of Surah Al-Buruj.
Commentators have written that Pharaoh cut off their hands and feet and crucified them. At the time of their death, they would recite this supplication: "Tawaffanā Muslimīn" (Cause us to die as Muslims).
This indicates that here, Iman (faith) and Islam are the same, and likewise, the religion of all the prophets (peace be upon them) is Islam.
[127] From here begins the second stage in the three verses—and in this stage, further afflictions upon Musa (peace be upon him) and his people are described, along with their steadfastness.
In the verse, the intended meaning of "corruption" (فساد) is the emergence of discord due to the proclamation of truth, which the followers of falsehood have always labeled as "corruption."
(وَآلِهَتَكَ) refers to those deities that were worshipped in Egypt by Pharaoh's command, which included figures of Pharaoh himself, a cow, a sheep, the sun, and the moon. Pharaoh himself used to worship the sheep.
Even though Pharaoh was defeated and rendered helpless in the debate, he still considered himself victorious—this is the height of lacking intellect.
[128] In this verse, Musa (peace be upon him) showed his people two remedies in the face of calamities: seeking help from Allah and being patient.
He also conveyed two glad tidings—one related to this world and the other to the Hereafter.
(الْأَرْضَ لِلَّهِ) means that the true ownership of all the land, including the land of Egypt, belongs to Allah the Exalted.
By His divine authority, Allah grants and distributes ownership as He wills.
