﴾171﴿ O People of the Book: Do not exceed the limit in your religion and do not say in the glory of Allah, the Exalted, anything but the truth - There is no doubt that Christ Jesus, peace be upon him, is the son of Maryam, the Messenger of Allah Almighty, and his word is thrown at Maryam, and it is a spirit from her, so believe in Allah Almighty and His Messengers, And do not say that there are three (gods), Forbidding (it will be) better for you, Surely, Allah Almighty is the only one who can be served, It is pure for him to have a child, in his control is what is in the heavens and what is on the earth, and it is sufficient, Allah the Exalted is the Worker, He is pure than having a child, All that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth is in His control, and Allah is sufficient helper
﴾172﴿ Christ, peace be upon him, never thinks it is bad to be the servant of Allah Almighty and not the closest angels (to Allah Almighty) And whoever considers the worship of Allah the Exalted to be bad and considers himself to be great, then Allah the Exalted will quickly gather them all to Himself
﴾173﴿ So, those who believed and acted in the way of the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, then He will give them their full reward and He will give them more of His bounty, And as for those who considered the worship of Allah the Exalted to be bad and considered themselves to be great, then He will punish them with a painful punishment - and they will not find any supporter or helper for them except Allah the Exalted
[171] In this verse, there is a rejection of Christian polytheism, (لَا تَغْلُوا فِي دِينِكُمْ) (laa taghloo fee deenikum) Exceeding the shari'i limit and in a shari'i way is called exaggeration, and this is haram. For example, believing about Jesus, peace be upon him, that he is Allah or the Son of Allah, this is exaggeration and polythism, Or to change one act in another way contrary to the way of the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, and to call it a good act is heresy, Also, reducing (reducing) from the Shari'ah limit (which is called extravagance) this is also inside excess, like the Jews used to extravagance about Jesus, peace be upon him, They denied his prophethood and called him a bastard, so the general meaning of arrogance here is that - and for this reason, he later mentioned those attributes of Jesus (peace be upon him), which is in the middle of extremes, the meaning of the word be is that it was created without sperm, (رُوحٌ مِنْهُ) (roohum minhum) min is for direction and this ratio is for formality, (وَلَا تَقُولُوا ثَلَاثَةٌ) (wa laa taqooloo salaasah) It is about the trinity of different sayings of the Christians, which is mentioned in the interpretation of Surah Maidah -
[172] This is a rejection of Christians, they used to say to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that you are disrespecting Jesus, peace be upon him, because you call him a servant, (يَسْتَنْكِفَ) (yastankifa) Hating means naturally hating the worship of Allah Almighty, (يَسْتَكْبِرْ) (yastakbira) He considers the worship of Allah the Exalted to be right, but he considers himself to be greater than Him, and both of these are disbelief, (الْمَلَائِكَةُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ) (al malaaa'ikatul muqarraboon) This is rejection on the polytheists with angels -
[173] This is a good news and a warning -
