﴾195﴿ Fastajaaba lahum Rabbuhum annee laaa Udee'u 'amala 'aamilim minkum min zakarin aw unsaa ba'dukum min ba'din fal lazeena haajaroo wa ukhrijoo min diyaarihim wa oozoo fee sabeelee wa qaataloo wa qutiloo la ukaffiranna 'anhum saiyi aatihim wa la udkhilanna hum Jannnatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru sawaabam min 'indil laah; wallaahu 'indahoo husnus sawaab

﴾195﴿ So their Lord accepted their prayer, (saying): I do not let go to waste the good deed of any doer among you, whether male or female; you are (all) from one another. So those who emigrated and were driven out of their homes and suffered harm in My way, and fought and were killed—surely I will remove from them their evil deeds, and surely I will admit them into Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is a reward from Allah, and with Allah is the best of rewards.
﴾196﴿ Let not the movement (and bustle) of the disbelievers throughout the cities deceive you.
﴾197﴿ This is a brief enjoyment—then their abode is Hell, and what an evil resting place it is, prepared (for them).
﴾198﴿ But those who feared their Lord—for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; they will abide therein forever. This is a hospitality prepared by Allah, and what is with Allah is better for the righteous.
[195] That is, this prayer—together with the previous qualities—is accepted. What is meant by “deed” here is the prayer itself, and it means that both men and women are of the same kind; both are human, so the prayer of either is accepted. Then, five qualities are mentioned for attaining the highest ranks.
[196] This is to instill detachment from the world, so do not be saddened by the wealth of the disbelievers or their roaming about for worldly purposes—their hearts are unsettled. (تَقَلُّبُ) here means wandering with a kind of inner restlessness.
[197] This is a reminder of the fleeting nature of the world and a warning about the Hereafter.
[198] This is glad tidings—(نُزُلًا) means that the blessings of Paradise are always like a banquet, in which there is honor and respect. (وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ) here points to countless and greater blessings.
