﴾257﴿Allaahu waliyyul lazeena aamanoo yukhrijuhum minaz zulumaati ilan noori wallazeena kafarooo awliyaaa'uhumut Taaghootu yukhrijoonahum minan noori ilaz zulumaat; ulaaa'ika Ashaabun Naari hum feehaa khaalidoon
﴾258﴿Alam tara ilal lazee Haaajja Ibraaheema fee Rabbiheee an aataahullaahul mulka iz qaala Ibraaheemu Rabbiyal lazee yuhyee wa yumeetu qaala ana uhyee wa umeetu qaala Ibraaheemu fa innal laaha yaatee bishshamsi minal mashriqi faati bihaa minal maghribi fabuhital lazee kafar; wallaahu laa yahdil qawmaz zaalimeen
﴾257﴿Allah the Exalted is the friend of the believers, He brings them out of the darkness (doubts) to the light (certainly), and those who disbelieve are their friends the devils, they bring them out of the light to the darkness, those are the people of the fire, they are there for ever
﴾258﴿Did you not look at the one who quarreled with Ibrahim (peace be upon him) about his Lord because Allah Almighty made him king, when Abraham (peace be upon him) said: My Lord is the one who gives life and death, he said: I give life. and i die - Abraham, peace be upon him, said, Indeed Allah, the Exalted, brings the sun from the east, so you bring it from the west." So the one who disbelieved was surprised, and Allah, the Exalted, does not show (the proof) to the people of the wrongdoers
[257] In the previous verse, two types of people were mentioned, so in this verse, the conditions of both are expressed - (الظُّلُمَاتِ) (az zulumaati) it refers to the darkness of religion, such as polytheism, disbelief, innovations, doubts, etc. - (النُّورِ) (an noori) it refers to the bright light of religion, such as monotheism. Faith, sunnsh, certainty, etc - (يُخْرِجُهُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ) (yukhrijuhum minaz zulumaati) This is about the one who used to be in disbelief and polytheism and has become a believer, or ikhraaj is meant to protect him - (يُخْرِجُونَهُمْ) (yukhrijoonahum) It also means that they are apostates, or is it meant to invite temptation and disguise -
[258] This event is an example for the second type, Nimrod was strong against himself - Taghut was with him - for this reason, he did not come out of the darkness at the invitation of Ibrahim, peace be upon him, Nimrod claimed that I am the one who takes over the world, to live and die. It is in my possession, And Abraham, peace be upon him, claimed that the control of life and death is with Allah, the Exalted, so Abraham, peace be upon him, presented the reason, if it is your control, take the opposite control in the sun, then he was silent and surprised - He could not claim that i am rising the sun from the east, because at that time there were many of these people and they openly and secretly will denied it
Note: (فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْتِي) (fa innal laaha yaatee) This is the reason in Nimrod's rebuttal, that he claimed to be alive and dead, so the answer was that you cannot take tangible possession in the sun, so how will you be able to take possession of spiritual life and death? In this it is not transition from one reason to another, because that is against the rules of debate -
