﴾168﴿Yaaa ayyuhan naasu kuloo mimmaa fil ardi halaalan taiyibanw wa laa tattabi'oo khutu waatish Shaitaan; innahoo lakum 'aduwwum mubeen
﴾169﴿Innamaa yaamurukum bissooo'i walfahshaaa'i wa an taqooloo alal laahi maa laa ta'lamoon
﴾170﴿Wa izaa qeela lahumuttabi'oo maaa anzalal laahu qaaloo bal nattabi'u maaa alfainaa 'alaihi aabaaa'anaaa; awalaw kaana aabaaa'uhum laa ya'qiloona shai'anw wa laa yahtadoon
﴾168﴿O people, eat what is on the earth, pure and halal, and do not follow the steps (ways) of Satan, indeed he is your clear enemy
﴾169﴿It is not except that he commands you to tempt you to bad words and bad deeds, and to say about Allah the Most High those words of which you have no knowledge (with proof)
﴾170﴿And when it is said to them to obey what Allah has revealed, they say (no), but we follow the way we found on that our fathers, Do they (follow them) even though these were their fathers who did not know anything about the religion or nor found the way
[168] In the verse, there is a rejection of (the current polytheism) the prohibitions of non-Allah - and that is that something has been made lawful by Allah, the Most High, but someone thinks it is haram because if I make it lawful and benefit from it, such and such a saint will hurts me, As in Jahiliyyah, they made Bahira, Saibah, etc - Or like the way they are protecting themselves from hunting birds or fish at the side of the grave of a pious deceased, which will hurt me. In the same way, false worshipers have forbidden their disciples to wear goods or eat good food, and they call it austerity - The ruling on this in the Shari'ah is that this thing is not forbidden as long as it is not a vow other than Allah, and doing and accepting this act is shirk - What is meant by (خُطُوَاتِ) (khutu waat) is all the sins and heresies that are found by Satan's temptation - (كُلُوا) (kuloo) The meaning of this is not to make food obligatory, but it means that you should not make it haram for yourself -
[169] This is the cause of Satan's enmity, and (تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ تعالیٰ) (that is, lying to Allah) is the root of polytheism and heresy - (بِالسُّوءِ وَالْفَحْشَاءِ) (bissooo'i walfahshaaa'i) There are many differences between, ssooo'i is a verbal sin and fahshaaa'i are practical sins - and ssooo'i is that which is known by the Shariah, and fahshaaa'i is that whose ugliness is also known to reason, and ssooo'i is a sin that does not have a prescribed punishment, fahshaaa'i is a sin for which punishment is prescribed -
[170] In this verse، is rejection for the reasons of polytheists, they say that we accept the ways of our elders and without them we do not accept other ways, and this imitation is called polytheism and reprehensible - And taqlid is permissible if he accepts the speech of a scholar and a muhtaadi (the guided one) because he said the speech with reason, so this is basically obedience to reason - But when it becomes clear to him that this scholar's statement is contrary to the clear text, it is obligatory to abandon it, and if he does not abandon it, this is an imitation of shirk - In Tafsir Bahr al-Uloom and Tafsir Ibn Attiyah, he wrote that this verse is a rejection of imitation, and polytheists, although they imitated those who went astray, but if the imams' imitation is without reason, then it is included in this and that - (آبَاءَنَا) (aabaaa'anaaa) These great scholars are meant, and it is mentioned in verse (104) of Surah Maidah, in verse (21) of Surah Luqman, and in verses (22-23) of Surah Zukhruf -
