﴾117﴿ Badeee'us samaawaati wal ardi wa izaa qadaaa amran fa innamaa yaqoolu lahoo kun fayakoon
﴾118﴿ Wa qaalal lazeena laa ya'lamoona law laa yukallimunal laahu aw taateenaaa aayah; kazaalika qaalal lazeena min qablihim misla qawlihim; tashaabahat quloobuhum; qad baiyannal aayaati liqawminy yooqinoon
﴾119﴿ Innaaa arsalnaaka bilhaqqi basheeranw wa nazeeranw wa laa tus'alu 'an Ashaabil Jaheem

﴾117﴿ He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth, and when He wills a matter, He only says to it, "Be," and it becomes.
﴾118﴿ And those who do not know say, “Why does Allah not speak to us, or why does no sign come to us?”
Those before them said similar words; their hearts are alike.
Surely, We have made clear many signs for a people who are certain.
﴾119﴿ Surely We have sent you to proclaim the truth, as a bringer of glad tidings and a warner, and you will not be questioned about the people of Hell.

[117] In this verse, there is a refutation of the idea of taking a child in two ways: first, by stating “the Originator of the heavens,” and second, “when He wills a matter.”
“Originator” comes from innovation, and in language, innovation refers to anything new, while in religious terms, it means forming a belief, statement, or action for which there is no basis in the law.
“Decrees” here means to will, and by “matter” is meant the creation of something.
[118] This is the answer to the seventh question: If you are a messenger, why does Allah not speak to us directly, or why is revelation not sent to us as it is to you, or why does the miracle we desire not come to us?
The first answer is a necessary one, that this question is just like those of previous deniers.
The second answer is based on investigation: We have made the signs clear, not just one sign but many miracles, but these are only beneficial to those who are certain, not to those who are stubborn in opposition.
[119] This is the claim of the truthfulness of the Messenger and is the first of five matters.
“With the truth” means either truly or as one who clarifies the truth.
“And you will not be questioned” means that after you have conveyed and invited, if anyone rejects, their responsibility is not upon you.
