َ حم 1230 الأحقاف

قَالُوا يَا قَوْمَنَا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا كِتَابًا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مُوسَى مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْحَقِّ وَإِلَى طَرِيقٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ ﴿۳۰﴾ يَا قَوْمَنَا أَجِيبُوا دَاعِيَ اللَّهِ وَآمِنُوا بِهِ يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِنْ ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُجِرْكُمْ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ ﴿۳۱﴾ وَمَنْ لَا يُجِبْ دَاعِيَ اللَّهِ فَلَيْسَ بِمُعْجِزٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءُ أُولَئِكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ ﴿۳۲﴾

﴾30﴿ Qaaloo yaa qawmanaaa innaa sami'naa Kitaaban unzila mim ba'di Moosa musaddiqal limaa baina yadihi yahdeee ilal haqqi wa ilaa Tareeqim Mustaqeem
﴾31﴿ Yaa qawmanaaa ajeeboo daa'iyal laahi wa aaminoo bihee yaghfir lakum min zunoobikum wa yujirkum min 'azaabin aleem
﴾32﴿ Wa mal laa yujib daa'iyal laahi falaisa bimu'jizin fil ardi wa laisa lahoo min dooniheee awliyaaa'; ulaaa ika fee dalaalim mubeen

﴾30﴿ They said, O our people! Indeed, we have heard a Book that has been sent down after Moses, confirming what came before it. It guides to the truth and to the straight path
﴾31﴿ O our people! Respond to the caller of Allah and believe in Him. He will forgive your sins and protect you from a painful punishment
﴾32﴿ And whoever does not respond to the caller of Allah will not escape His punishment in all the dominion, nor will he have any helpers besides Allah. They are indeed in clear misguidance

[30] In this verse, the invitation of the jinn to the Noble Qur’an is mentioned, and it shows a beautiful and proper method of calling others.
(Min ba‘di Mūsā)—The mention of Mūsā (peace be upon him) instead of ‘Īsā (peace be upon him) is either because they (the jinn) had no knowledge of ‘Īsā (peace be upon him), or because the origin of the Injīl was the Torah itself.
(Yahdī ilā al-ḥaqq)—The “truth” refers either to correct belief or to that which is certain and real.
The “straight path” refers to following the Messenger.
So the essence of the Qur’an is a call to the Qur’an and Sunnah.
[31] In this verse is a call to affirm the truthfulness of the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and give him peace) and to follow him.
(Dā‘iya Allah)—“The caller to Allah” refers to the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and give him peace). This is proof that he was sent to both humans and jinn.
It may also be implied here that the Prophet is a means for entering Paradise, because sins are what prevent one from entering Paradise, and once forgiveness is granted through his message, the barrier to entry is removed.
This relates to a debated issue: whether the jinn will enter Paradise or not.
The correct opinion is that their ruling is like that of humans, and the evidences proving that humans deserve Paradise also apply to the jinn.
[32] This is a warning and threat for abandoning the response to the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and give him peace).
(Wa laysa lahu min dūnihi awliyā’)—This indicates that neither elders nor others can assist him.
Meaning: he can neither save himself by his own strength nor be saved through the help of anyone else.
