﴾45﴿ Wa taraahum yu'radoona 'alaihaa khaashi'eena minazzulli yanzuroona min tarfin khafiyy; wa qaalal lazeena aamanooo innal khaasireenal lazeena khasirooo anfusahum wa ahleehim Yawmal Qiyaamah; alaaa innaz zaalimeena fee 'azaabin muqeem
﴾46﴿ Wa maa kaana lahum min awliyaaa'a yansuroonahum min doonil laah; wa mai yudlilil laahu famaa lahoo min sabeel
﴾47﴿ Istajeeboo li Rabbikum min qabli any yaatiya Yawmul laa maradda lahoo min Allah; maa lakum min malja' iny yawma'izinw wa maa lakum min nakeer
﴾48﴿ Fa-in a'radoo famaaa arsalnaaka 'alaihim hafeezan in 'alaika illal balaagh; wa innaaa izaaa azaqnal insaana minnaa rahmatan fariha bihaa wa in tusibhum saiyi'atun bimaa qaddamat aydeehim fa innal insaana kafoor

﴾45﴿ And you will see them being presented to the Fire, humbled by disgrace, looking with weak eyes, and the believers will say: "Indeed, the complete losers are those who have lost themselves and their families on the Day of Judgment." Be aware that the wrongdoers are in eternal torment
﴾46﴿ And they will have no helpers to aid them except Allah the Exalted, and whomever Allah leads astray, there is no path of guidance for him
﴾47﴿ Accept the commands of Allah the Exalted before the day comes when there is no turning back from Him. On that day, you will have no refuge, nor will your denial benefit you in any way
﴾48﴿ So if they turn away, then We have not sent you as a guardian over them; your duty is only to convey the message. And indeed, when We cause man to taste a great mercy from Us, he becomes arrogant about it. But if a misfortune befalls them due to what their own hands have sent forth, then surely man is ungrateful

[45] This is also a warning of the Hereafter, expressed in six forms.
"Min ṭarfin khafiyy" — means a weak and lowered gaze, where they cannot raise their eyes out of shame and humiliation.
Question: In other verses, it is established that they will be resurrected blind — how can this be reconciled?
Answer 1: These refer to different moments of the Day of Judgment. At some times, their vision will be sharp — as in “Your sight today is sharp” (fa-baṣaruka al-yawma ḥadīd) — and at other times, their gaze will be weak and humbled.
Answer 2: Here, "ṭarf khafī" refers not to the physical eye, but to the gaze of the heart — indicating inner fear, humility, and awareness.
[46] This verse is also part of the warning of the Hereafter, and it serves as a refutation of shirk in guardianship (wilāyah).
"Fa-mā lahu min sabīl" — means: he will have no path —
no path to the truth in this world, and no path to Paradise in the Hereafter.
[47] In this verse, there is a call to that which grants salvation from the punishments mentioned in the previous verses.
"Istajībū" (respond) — refers to responding to the core message of the sūrah, which is complete submission to the commands of Allah the Exalted.
"Lā maradda lahu min Allāh" — means: once Allah’s command comes, it cannot be turned back, neither by Allah Himself nor by anyone else — no one can prevent or reverse it.
[48] This verse is the opposite of "istajībū" (respond) — it contains a rebuke for those who turn away, and also serves as a consolation for the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and give him peace).
"Wa innā idhā adhaqnā al-insān" — this is both a rebuke and a description of the state of those who turn away:
In times of blessing, they turn away with arrogance.
In times of hardship, they turn away with ingratitude and denial.
