وَقَالَ الَّذِينَْ 909 النمل
فَلَمَّا جَاءَهَا نُودِيَ أَنْ بُورِكَ مَنْ فِي النَّارِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿۸﴾ يَا مُوسَى إِنَّهُ أَنَا اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ ﴿۹﴾ وَأَلْقِ عَصَاكَ فَلَمَّا رَآهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَانٌّ وَلَّى مُدْبِرًا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ يَا مُوسَى لَا تَخَفْ إِنِّي لَا يَخَافُ لَدَيَّ الْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿۱۰﴾
﴾8﴿ Falammaa jaaa'ahaa noodiya am boorika man finnnnaari wa man hawlahaa wa Subhaanal laahi Rabbil 'aalameen
﴾9﴿ Yaa Moosaaa innahooo Anal laahul 'Azeezul Hakeem
﴾10﴿ Wa alqi 'asaak; falammmaa ra aahaa tahtazzu ka annahaa jaaannunw wallaa mudbiranw wa lam yu'aqqib; yaa Moosaa laa takhaf innee laa yakhaafu ladaiyal mursaloon
﴾8﴿ So when Moses (peace be upon him) came to it, he was called, Blessed is the one who seeks this fire and those around it, and glory be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds
﴾9﴿ O Moses (peace be upon him), indeed, I am Allah, the Almighty, the Wise
﴾10﴿ And cast your staff. Then when he saw it moving swiftly, as if it were a slender snake, he turned away fleeing and did not look back. (We said,) O Moses (peace be upon him), do not fear; indeed, the messengers do not fear in My presence
[8] The wisdoms in this are:
1. The journey of Musa (peace be upon him) became a means for receiving divine blessings.
2. Musa (peace be upon him) and even the angels are in need of Allah the Exalted for blessings, because although a passive form (unknown agent) is used, the true doer is known from Surah Al-Furqan.
3. The calling and speech of Allah the Exalted is pure and free from resemblance to the creation, because Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) is mentioned.
4. The declaration of Allah’s purity (tanzih) is both intrinsic and in action, as both the names “Allah” and “Lord (Rabb)” are mentioned.
"أَنْ بُورِكَ" – this is a greeting and welcome from Allah the Exalted to Musa (peace be upon him).
"مَنْ فِي النَّارِ" – refers to the one who is at the place of fire or seeking the fire, and this is Musa (peace be upon him). What is meant by nar (fire) is actually light, but due to Musa’s perception, it is referred to as fire.
"وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا" – refers to the angels who, by Allah’s permission, were gathered around this light.
[9] The wisdoms in this are:
1. After the greeting and welcome, comes a formal introduction.
2. After the greeting, speech follows.
3. In "الْعَزِيزُ" (The Almighty), there is a sign that Allah the Exalted will grant Musa (peace be upon him) dominance and honor.
4. In "الْحَكِيمُ" (The Wise), there is a sign that the various hardships brought upon Musa (peace be upon him) in the beginning, and eventual success in the end, are all according to the wisdom of Allah the Exalted.
5. And in this revelation, the subject of tawhid (monotheism) is found, which is the foremost obligation.
[10] The wisdoms in this are:
1. Along with prophethood, a miracle is necessary.
2. The miracle is suited to the context and time.
3. The greatness of the thubān (serpent) and its swift movements like a thin snake combine two opposite traits, which is a proof of the immense power of Allah the Exalted.
4. Fear from apparent causes does not contradict prophethood.
5. It is proof that Musa (peace be upon him) did not possess knowledge of the unseen.
6. It is proof that the miracle is not under the Prophet’s control.
7. It is a consolation from Allah the Exalted.
8. At the moment of closeness to Allah the Exalted, there is no need for causes of fear.
9. And this is something specific to the Messengers.
