قَدْ أَفْلَحَْ 853 النور
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُزْجِي سَحَابًا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيْنَهُ ثُمَّ يَجْعَلُهُ رُكَامًا فَتَرَى الْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَالِهِ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ جِبَالٍ فِيهَا مِنْ بَرَدٍ فَيُصِيبُ بِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَصْرِفُهُ عَنْ مَنْ يَشَاءُ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرْقِهِ يَذْهَبُ بِالْأَبْصَارِ ﴿۴۳﴾ يُقَلِّبُ اللَّهُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِأُولِي الْأَبْصَارِ ﴿۴۴﴾ وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَابَّةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى بَطْنِهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى رِجْلَيْنِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى أَرْبَعٍ يَخْلُقُ اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ﴿۴۵﴾ لَقَدْ أَنْزَلْنَا آيَاتٍ مُبَيِّنَاتٍ وَاللَّهُ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ ﴿۴۶﴾ وَيَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِالرَّسُولِ وَأَطَعْنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّى فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَمَا أُولَئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿۴۷﴾
﴾43﴿ Alam tara annal laaha yuzjee sahaaban summa yu'allifu bainahoo summa yaj'aluhoo rukaaman fataral wadqa yakhruju min khilaalihee wa yunazzilu minas samaaa'i min jibaalin feehaa mim baradin fa yuseebu bihee mai yashaaa'u wa yasrifuhoo 'am mai yashaaa'u yakkaadu sanaa barqihee yazhabu bil absaar

﴾45﴿ Wallaahu khalaqa kulla daaabbatim mim maaa'in faminhum mai yamshee 'alaa batnihee wa minhum mai yamshee 'alaa rijlaine wa minhum mai yamshee 'alaaa arba'; yakhluqul laahu maa yashaaa'; innal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer
﴾46﴿ Laqad anzalnaaa Aayaatim mubaiyinaat; wallaahu yahdee mai yashaaa'u ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeem
﴾47﴿ Wa yaqooloona aamannaa billaahi wa bir Rasooli wa ata'naa summa yatawallaa fareequm minhum mim ba'di zaalik; wa maaa ulaaa'ika bilmu'mineen
﴾43﴿ Do you not see that Allah drives the clouds, then joins them together, then makes them into a heap? Then you see the rain emerge from within it. And He sends down from the sky, from mountains [of clouds] within it, hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The flash of its lightning almost takes away the eyesight
﴾44﴿ Allah alternates the night and the day. Indeed, in this is a lesson for those of understanding
﴾45﴿ And Allah created every living creature from water. Some of them crawl on their bellies, some of them walk on two legs, and some of them walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent
﴾46﴿ Indeed, We have sent down verses with clear proofs, and Allah guides whom He wills to the straight path
﴾47﴿ And they say, "We believe in Allah and the Messenger, and we obey." Then a group of them turns away after that, and they are not believers
[43] This is the third rational proof, presented through mention of an intermediate natural phenomenon—cloud formation, rain and hail falling, benefiting some while withholding from others, and the rapid flash of lightning.
(يُزْجِي)—means to raise and move parts of the earth, surroundings, and sky—referring to how Allah gathers and drives the clouds.
(جِبَالٍ)—This is metaphorical; the mushabbah bih (that which it is likened to) is mentioned, while the mushabbah (what is being likened) is meant.
It refers to clouds that appear massive like mountains.
This verse illustrates Allah’s power and control in creating rain and other natural occurrences.
[44] This is the fourth rational proof, through the mention of another type of intermediate natural condition.
It highlights Allah’s sovereignty and control over time and temporal events—demonstrating His power in the changing of day and night and the regulation of all happenings tied to time.
[45] This is the fifth rational proof, presented through the mention of lower earthly creatures, meaning the conditions of those who live on earth.
According to their modes of movement on earth, they are categorized into three types:
1. Those that move on their bellies, like snakes.
2. Those that walk on two feet, like humans.
3. Those that walk on four feet, like most animals.
In (يَخْلُقُ اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ)—“Allah creates what He wills”—there is an allusion to creatures with many legs, such as centipedes, spiders, etc.
However, it is understood that even these creatures generally move with four main legs at a time, which is why they are not counted as a separate category.
[46] This is an encouragement toward the Qur’an and toward obeying its commands.
Since the previous verses discussed the belief in tawḥīd (the oneness of Allah), the conclusion here is made with the mention of the Straight Path (ṣirāṭ al-mustaqīm)—to emphasize that following the Qur’an leads directly to the path of guidance and divine approval.
[47] From this verse to the end of the surah is the fifth section.
In it is a comparison between the qualities of the hypocrites and the qualities of the believers.
There are warnings and rebukes directed at the hypocrites, and glad tidings—both worldly and eternal—for the believers.
Then, three etiquettes are mentioned to remove hardship from the believers.
Finally, the surah ends with another comparison between the believers and the hypocrites, accompanied by threats and warnings for the hypocrites.
The conclusion of the surah ends on the topic of tawḥīd (the oneness of Allah).
