ْقَالَ أَلَمْ 759 طٰهٰ

وَأْمُرْ أَهْلَكَ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَاصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا لَا نَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقًا نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَى ﴿۱۳۲﴾ وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا يَأْتِينَا بِآيَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّهِ أَوَلَمْ تَأْتِهِمْ بَيِّنَةُ مَا فِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَى ﴿۱۳۳﴾ وَلَوْ أَنَّا أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ لَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ آيَاتِكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ نَذِلَّ وَنَخْزَى ﴿۱۳۴﴾ قُلْ كُلٌّ مُتَرَبِّصٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَصْحَابُ الصِّرَاطِ السَّوِيِّ وَمَنِ اهْتَدَى ﴿۱۳۵﴾

﴾132﴿ Wa'mur ahlaka bis Salaati wastabir 'alaihaa laa nas'aluka rizqaa; nahnu narzuquk; wal 'aaqibatu littaqwaa
﴾133﴿ Wa qaaloo law laa ya'teenaa bi aayatin mir Rabbih; awa lam ta'tihim baiyinatu maa fis suhufil oolaa
﴾134﴿ Wa law annaaa ahlaknaahum bi 'azaabin min qablihee laqaaloo Rabbanaa law laaa arsalta ilainaa Rasoolan fanattabi'a Aayaatika min qabli an nazilla wa nakhzaa
﴾135﴿ Qul kullum mutarabbisun fa tarabbasoo fa sa ta'lamoona man Ashaabus Siraatis Sawiyyi wa manih tadaa

﴾132﴿ And command your followers to perform prayer and be steadfast in it. We do not ask you to provide sustenance; We provide for you, and the good outcome is for the righteous
﴾133﴿ And they say, Why does he not bring us a sign from his Lord?" Has not a clear explanation come to them from what was in the previous scriptures
﴾134﴿ And if We had destroyed the people with punishment before sending this Messenger, they would surely have said, Our Lord, why did You not send a messenger to us so that we could have followed Your signs before we were humiliated and disgraced
﴾135﴿ Say, Everyone is waiting, so you too wait. Soon you will know who the companions of the straight path are and who is rightly guided

[132] In this, the fifth etiquette is mentioned. The intended meaning of "ahl" (people) is all followers. The meaning of (لَا نَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقًا) — "We do not ask you for provision" — is that We have not made you responsible for providing sustenance, which would lead to negligence in prayer.
(WAL-ʿĀQIBATU LIT-TAQWĀ) — "And the end is for righteousness" — this implies that acting upon the five etiquettes leads to taqwā (God-consciousness).
(LIT-TAQWĀ) — the "lām" is either for purpose (lām al-ʿilliyyah), or it refers to the people of taqwā.
In language, ʿāqibah means simply the end, but in common usage it refers to a good final outcome.
[133] In this verse, there is a warning to the deniers. That is, since the miracle of Musa (peace be upon him) was mentioned in this surah, the polytheists demanded from the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and give him peace) to bring something similar for them. So, a response was given.
The essence of the response is that the Noble Qur'an is a summary of the previous divine scriptures, and thus this miracle is more complete than all other miracles — similar to what is mentioned in verse 51 of Surah al-ʿAnkabūt.
And in this verse, there is an indication that one of the names of the Qur'an is Bayyinah (clear proof), and it is also understood that the Qur'an is a summary of the earlier divine books.
[134] In this verse, there is a response to another question — the question was: since these people were previously idolaters, why wasn't punishment sent upon them earlier?
The essence of the answer is that if punishment had been sent before the arrival of a messenger, they would have made excuses and presented justifications. However, Allah the Exalted does not accept anyone's excuse without first giving them a clear warning — as mentioned in verse 165 of Surah al-Nisāʾ and verse 47 of Surah al-Qaṣaṣ.
Thus, in this verse, the wisdom behind sending messengers and revealing divine books is mentioned.
(MIN QABLI AN NADHILLA) — "Before we are humiliated" — this indicates that disgrace and dishonor result from going against the Book of Allah.
[135] In this verse, there is a worldly warning — meaning, now that a messenger has been sent and yet you still deny, then be prepared for punishment.
And in the verse, there is an indication of this message: those who are saved from worldly punishment are the ones whose path is correct — that is, the path of the Qur'an and Hadith.
And their goal is to reach the correct path, meaning monotheism (tawḥīd) and the Prophetic way (sunnah).
