﴾52﴿ Wa Yawma yaqoolu naadoo shurakaaa'i yal lazeena za'amtum fada'awhum falam yastajeeboo lahum wa ja'alnaa bainahum maw biqaa
﴾53﴿ Wa ra al mujrimoonan Naara fazannooo annahum muwaaqi'oohaa wa lam yajidoo 'anhaa masrifaa

﴾52﴿ And [mention] the Day We will say, 'Call upon My partners whom you claimed.' And they will call upon them, but they will not respond to them, and We will place between them a barrier [of destruction]
﴾53﴿ And the criminals will see the Fire and will be certain that they are to fall into it, and they will find no way to escape from it

[52] In this verse, there is a severe warning regarding the disassociation of Allah on the Day of Judgment from the false deities whom the polytheists worshipped.
It mentions righteous individuals whom the polytheists wrongly turned into objects of worship—either directly or through the deception of devils, who invited people to worship them.
On the Day of Judgment, these righteous ones will declare their innocence from their worshippers and will not be able to help them at all.
The word (شُرَكَاء) refers to:
Either pious individuals whom devils led others to worship, Or it refers to all types of false gods, whether they were good or evil, real or imagined.
(مَوْبِقًا) – means destruction, and it is often interpreted as all of Hell itself.
Another opinion is that it refers to a specific pit in Hell, filled with blood and pus—but the first opinion is stronger.
(بَيْنَهُمْ) – The pronoun may refer to:
The false gods and their worshippers, indicating the division and separation between them on that Day,
Or to the believers and disbelievers, showing the contrast in their outcomes.
[53] In this verse, there is a warning about the Hereafter through the description of the state of those who worshipped partners with Allah.
The message is that before they even enter Hell, they will be shown the Fire, and as a result, they will be overcome by fear and sorrow.
This terrifying sight will cause them to realize the reality of their misguidance, but by then, it will be too late to change their fate.
