تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ 110 آل عمران

إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الْإِسْلَامُ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ ﴿۱۹﴾ فَإِنْ حَاجُّوكَ فَقُلْ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ وَقُلْ لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالْأُمِّيِّينَ أَأَسْلَمْتُمْ فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُوا فَقَدِ اهْتَدَوْا وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلَاغُ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ ﴿۲۰﴾ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيِّينَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَيَقْتُلُونَ الَّذِينَ يَأْمُرُونَ بِالْقِسْطِ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ ﴿۲۱﴾ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ ﴿۲۲﴾

﴾19﴿ Innad deena 'indal laahil Islaam; wa makhtalafal lazeena ootul Kitaaba illaa mim ba'di maa jaaa'ahumul 'ilmu baghyam bainahum; wa mai yakfur bi Aayaatil laahi fa innal laaha saree'ul hisaab
﴾20﴿ Fa in haaajjooka faqul aslamtu wajhiya lillaahi wa manit taba'an; wa qul lillazeena ootul Kitaaba wal ummiyyeena 'a-aslamtum; fa in aslamoo faqadih tadaw wa in tawallaw fa innamaa 'alaikal balaagh; wallaahu baseerum bil 'ibaad
﴾21﴿ Innal lazeena yakfuroona bi Aayaatil laahi wa yaqtuloonan Nabiyyeena bighairi haqqinw wa yaqtuloonal lazeena ya'muroona bilqisti minannaasi fabashirhum bi'azaabin aleem
﴾22﴿ Ulaaa'ikal lazeena habitat a'maaluhum fid dunyaa wal Aaakhirati wa maa lahum min naasireen

﴾19﴿ Indeed, the (true) religion in the sight of Allah is Islam (Tawheed).
And those who were given the Book did not differ (regarding Tawheed) except after knowledge had come to them—out of envy among themselves.
And whoever disbelieves in the signs of Allah, then surely Allah is swift in reckoning.
﴾20﴿ So if they argue with you, then say, “I have submitted myself to Allah (in Tawheed), and so have those who follow me.”
And say to those who were given the Book and to the unlettered ones, “Have you submitted (to Tawheed)?”
Then if they accept it, surely they are rightly guided.
But if they turn away, then your duty is only to convey the message.
And Allah is All-Seeing of His servants.
﴾21﴿ Indeed, those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and kill the prophets without right, and kill those among the people who call to justice (the religion of Tawheed)—then give them glad tidings of a painful punishment.
﴾22﴿ They are those whose deeds have been wasted in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helper.

[19] This is the answer to a question, and the question is: In some scriptures, worship of others besides Allah, asking from others besides Him, etc., have been mentioned as permissible—are those writings incorrect?
The essence of the answer is that the religion of Allah is Tawheed (the Oneness of Allah).
Therefore, any acts of worship or books that go against this principle were fabricated by certain scholars, after knowledge had already come to them, out of stubbornness and hostility.
Thus, these are false.
"بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ" refers to the signs and evidences of Tawheed.
And those who abandon these signs because of the claims of rebellious individuals are committing disbelief.
[20] This verse outlines the method of calling others to the faith — that is, first invite both the learned (scholars) and the unlettered to the belief in the oneness of Allah (tawhid).
(“But if they argue with you”) — meaning, if they try to justify their disbelief and polytheism by citing the statements of rebellious individuals.
(“Then say: I have submitted myself”) — this declares one's creed and way: it signifies that in the face of Allah’s revelation, I do not accept anyone else's words.
(“Then they are rightly guided”) — meaning, once they sincerely accept Islam, we do not oppose them; this is the true religion.
[21] This describes the condition of the rebellious among the People of the Book and serves as a warning to them. They do not accept the signs of Allah — the signs of monotheism — even from within their own scriptures. When the prophets and other scholars of truth call them to the truth, they respond by killing them.
[22] This is the second part of the answer regarding them — that is, the good deeds of these scholars. So why are they punished? The answer is that their deeds have been nullified due to their disbelief in the signs of Allah.
The loss in this world is that these deeds are not even mentioned among their attributes.
